- Resources for those who have recently entered the USA to
take an NIH job, or who are planning to do so: visa information,
the Fogerty International Center, embassy links, interest groups.
- Groups
- NIH Inter-Institute Interest Groups are assemblies of scientists with
common research interests. These groups are divided into seven
broad, process oriented parent groups, or faculties, and more
than 30 smaller, more focused groups centered on particular
research models, subjects, or techniques.
- IRTA Taxes
- Tips for IRTA fellows on paying federal and local taxes and on filing
your tax returns. Other fellows may benefit from this
information as well.
- Health Insurance
- FAES administers a health insurance program for those at NIH who are not
eligible for the health insurance plans available to Federal employees --
a category that includes most postdoctoral fellows.
- Institutes
- NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices.
- Hispanic Group
- A directory of Hispanic/Latino scientist at NIH, organized
alphabetically by last name, first name, and institute. It also
includes links of special interest to Hispanic fellows.
- NIH Black Scientists Association
- A network of scientists, physicians, technologists, clinicians, and administrators that addresses topics of interest to African-American and other under-represented communities.
- Representatives
- A directory of Fellows Committee representatives organized by Institute.

suggestions relating to your experience as a Fellow at NIH.
