NIH Hispanic Scientists Day

Dear NIH/FDA Scientists,

We want to thank all the scientists who participated and attended the First NIH Hispanic Scientists Day last Monday. The quality of the posters presented in this activity was excellent! Congratulations to all of you! The success of this event was possible because of your support and enthusiasm.

We also want to thank the Office of Intramural Research especially Drs. Arlyn Garcia-Perez and Joan Schwartz, for their commitment to promote the education and career development of post-doctoral fellows and post-bacs trainees at NIH. Thanks also to Dr. Marta Leon-Monzon,Raymond Mejia and Margarita Valencia from the Hispanic Employee Organization for their help and support to make this event possible. Special thanks to Hilda Madine, from the Office of Hospitality Service and Debbie Cohen from the Office of Education for their help beyond the call of duty.

Last but not least our deepest appreciation to Dr. Juan Rivera who accepted our invitation to this very first NIH Hispanic Scientists Day with great enthusiasm. It was an honor to have him as the speaker for this event.
